We, the committee are delighted to bring you this year's show.

Castlegregory Agricultural Show has its roots in the traditional Fair Day and Show, which was revived in 2018 after many years absence. Traditionally, this was held on the Forge Road and it quickly became a popular event for locals and visitors alike. Due to its success and to facilitate expansion of the program, the show is now held at the west end of the village. The new showgrounds are named in honour their previous owner, Billy Bowler.

Castlegregory Agricultural Show has been affiliated with the Irish Shows Association (ISA) since 2024. The ISA is the official body that represents agricultural shows on the island of Ireland, and there are more than 130 member shows, which run every year. Castlegregory Agricultural Show is proud to take its place on the national showing calendar.

Castlegregory is a village on the north side of the Dingle peninsula in Co. Kerry. Nowadays, a popular location for holidaying and water sports, the village and surrounds also maintains its long-standing heritage of root vegetable production (the sandy soil of the adjacent Maharees was once famous for its onion production), horse and pony breeding, cattle and sheep rearing, and lobster and salmon fishing.

Set on the wild Atlantic coast of the Dingle Peninsula with a hinterland of glacial landscape, mountains, and forestry, Casllegregory has become a haven for creative people from all over the world. In recent years the wider community have embraced sustainable living in practice.

Several members of the Show Committee are involved in projects about circular economy, energy transition, conservation, regenerative food production, habitat conservation, and heritage preservation in the area. The Show Committee sees Castlegregory Agrishow as a platform to showcase and support, alongside the more traditional exhibits, new projects, and initiatives of these types.
